How to Speak with Confidence and Influence

Updated: Apr 12, 2021

Setting the tone...

Are you controlling your conversations?

If your voice sounds weak and shaky it can knock your confidence - even when you know that you’re amazing at what you do.

You probably already know that your voice influences the way people respond to you. If you’ve used the phrase “It’s not what you said, it’s the way you said it", you’ll know probably what I mean.

If you're planning to speak to a lot of people then it’s important to sound controlled and confident, whether you’re coaching, teaching or selling.

When you sound more confident you will find it easier to:

  • Create the right atmosphere

  • Convey and air of control

  • Develop strong rapport

  • Build trust quickly

When you present with a strong sounding voice people will see you as confident, even if you secretly feel a little nervous. How could you use tonality in your voice to increase your influence?
