Imagine confidently mastering your favourite tunes, or even your own original compositions with ease. I support singers and songwriters who are currently, or preparing for gigs, tours, recording or auditions.

I’m Carrie Griffiths, and for over two decades, I’ve been dedicated to helping singers like yourself thrive in the music industry.

Private voice coaching with me will allow you to:

  • Gain mastery over breath control

  • Expand your vocal range

  • Hone your accuracy

  • Discover your unique voice

  • Improve pith and agility

  • Project your voice with ease and clarity

More than Technique...

But that’s not all! I don't just focus on the voice, but the person behins the voice. Singing lessons with me mean not just enhancing your technical skills but also infusing your performance with emotion and charm, adding that special touch to your singing.

As your vocal coach, I’ll assist you in leaving behind any harmful habits, replacing them with healthier techniques tailored to your individual style, ensuring you can confidently embrace profession singing methods.

All singers begin with a compulsory Induction Course. This is not a taster or casual coaching container. It exists to establish sustainable vocal foundations, assess how you learn and integrate change, and ensure alignment for deeper work. The Induction Course is for singers who take responsibility for their voice, value integrity and longevity, and are ready to engage with both the technical and human aspects of singing. It is not for quick fixes, surface-level coaching, or singers unwilling to commit. This process protects your voice — and the standard of the work itself.

The Induction Course ensures your voice is approached safely, intelligently, and sustainably — and that we’re the right fit for deep, professional-level work.

FAQ

Online or in-person singing lessons?

Online singing lessons are the most efficient way to learn. There is no annoying commute in hot weather or cold wind and rain, meaning less disruption for you and your family/friends/colleagues.

I'm a beginner. Will Online Singing Lessons Work for Me?

Of course! It doesn't matter where you're starting from, online singing lessons can help you. In fact, learning online improves your active listening skills, meaning that learning to sing online may even speed up your progress as a singer. My singers love the freedom that online singing lessons give them, meaning they can continue to learn even when they're on tour (or on holiday).

Will a vocal coach actually help?

How long does it take to learn to sing?

This isn't a one-size-fits-all answer: each person is different. With weekly voice coaching a singer who fully immerses themselves in their growth can expect to be ready to perform or record to a good standard within a few months, and full mastery takes an average of two-and-a- half years.

It can take anything from just two years to four years or more, to learn to sing to a professional standard. Singing is a skill that anyone can learn and, like all skills it takes some time and commitment.

Established singers will usually have  a routine and I recommend that beginners dedicate at least 30 minutes a day to their progress, 3-4 times a week.

In a word, Yes!
